How to deliver galleries using the Final Edits workflow

When you’ve already edited the photos and just want to hand them over, use Final Edits. Clients get instant access to downloads (based on what’s included in their package), and you stay out of the back-and-forth.

1. Set Final Edits in the right place

For full sessions (services):

  • Go to Manage → Session types
  • Open the session type your client booked
  • In the Gallery / Deliverables area, choose Delivery mode: Final edits
  • Save

Now every gallery created from a booking of that session type will default to Final edits — you don’t have to set it every time.

For mini sessions:

  • When you’re creating/editing the mini (the mini session editor), go to Packages & fees / Deliverables for that mini
  • Choose Delivery mode: Final edits
  • Publish/save

Then every gallery you create from that mini’s bookings will already be set to Final edits. Easy.

2. Create or open the client’s gallery

From the booking (mini or full):

  • Open the booking
  • Click Create gallery

Because galleries are connected to bookings in Session, client info and deliverables are already there.

3. Check the delivery mode

If you already set it at the session type level, it should already say Final edits
If not:

  1. In the gallery sidebar, click Deliverables
  2. Select Final edits

This tells Session “client can download the finished photos.”

4. Upload your photos

  • Drag/drop or Select photos from computer
  • Set a cover image
  • Add password/client code if needed

5. Publish and share

  • Toggle Published on
  • Click Share gallery to send the invite email or copy the link

Your client can now view, favorite, and download right away, according to the download rules in Deliverables.

6. Optional: Upsell

If you uploaded more photos than their package includes and upselling is on, Session will ask the client to pay for the extra digitals before download — no chasing, no extra invoices.
