Publishing a gallery makes it viewable to your client and turns on things like favoriting, downloading (if allowed), and soft-proof submissions. Until you publish, it’s just for you.
1. Open the gallery
You can get to the gallery in two ways:
- From Galleries: Go to Galleries in the top nav and click the gallery you want to publish.
- From a booking: Open the client’s booking (mini or full), find the Client gallery section on the right, and open it from there. Same gallery, just a faster route.
2. Publish the gallery
In the left sidebar you’ll see the status panel.
- If it says Unpublished, flip the toggle ON.
- It will switch to Published and the gallery is live.
3. Control the expiration
You have two ways to manage how long a gallery is available:
- Per gallery: Under the published badge, click Change to set or remove the expiration date for that specific gallery.
- Global default: Go to Manage > Gallery settings and set a default expiration. New galleries will use this automatically so you don’t have to set it every time.
4. Share with your client
Click Share gallery and either:
- send the gallery invite email right from Session, or
- copy the link and send it however you like.
Tip: the Client code in the sidebar is what lets your client favorite and download.
For mini sessions
From the mini session album you can:
- open each client’s gallery and publish it, or
- select multiple galleries and publish/unpublish in bulk.
Great after a big mini day.
