Summary:
Questionnaires in Session help you collect the extra information you need from clients so you can show up prepared. You can add a questionnaire to a session or inquiry so clients answer during or after booking or submitting inquiries. This keeps all client info in one place inside Session.
What questionnaires can do
- Collect session details that are not part of the basic booking form
- Keep information tied to the booking and the client
- Standardize what you ask for each session type
- Save time going back and forth over email
What Session already collects
Session already asks for the client’s name, email, phone number, and address (optional) during booking. You do not need to ask for those again in your questionnaire. Use questionnaires for the things that are unique to the session, like locations, kids’ ages, or shot lists.
When to use questionnaires
- Family or newborn sessions where you need ages, names, or notes
- Branding sessions where you need links, brand info, or goals
- Minis where you still want a couple of prep questions
- Events where you need timelines or important contacts
What you can include
You can ask for:
- Who is being photographed
- Location preferences
- Style or outfit notes
- Must have shots
- Special requests or accessibility notes
Every question you add will be required, so keep your questionnaires simple and focused.
