Client management overview

Summary:
The Clients area in Session is where you see everyone who has interacted with you. From here you can filter clients, see who booked and who did not, export your list for marketing, and open a client to view their details, notes, and session history.

How to get to clients

  1. From the top navigation, click Clients.
  2. You will see your client list.

Filter your clients

At the top of the page you can filter by:

  • Session type (for example All, Mini Sessions, Family Session, Newborn, Weddings)
  • All clients
  • Booked
  • Not booked

Not booked includes unfinished bookings, inquiries, waitlists, and gift card buyers. This is useful when you want to follow up and turn them into bookings.

Export your client list

You can click Export CSV to download your client list.
Use this file in your favorite email or marketing tool such as Flodesk or Mailchimp.
You can connect to Flodesk or Mailchimp directly under Manage → Integrations.

View client details

Click on any client in the list to open the Client details panel. Here you can:

  • See their name, email, and phone
  • See total spend and number of sessions
  • View past sessions
  • Click Edit client to update their contact information
  • Add internal client notes that your team can see

This makes it easy to keep all client information in one place.

Open client details from a session

You do not have to go to the Clients page every time. When you are viewing any booked session, you can click View client file to open the same client details window right from the session. This is helpful when you are working on a booking and need to check notes or past sessions.
