Summary:
If you already created a contract in Session, you can make a copy of it instead of starting from scratch. This is helpful when you need a similar contract for a different session type or mini session.
Important:
Session contracts can use smart fields that auto populate information from the session and the client. Only duplicate a contract if the new one will be used for a different purpose or needs different terms. Otherwise you can just edit the original.
Steps to duplicate a contract
- In Session, go to Manage → Contracts.
- Find the contract you want to copy.
- On the right side of the contract name, click the three dot menu.
- Click Duplicate.
- A copy will be created and opened. Give it a new name, and update the text as needed.
- Save your changes.
When to duplicate
- You run minis and full sessions and want different terms for each
- You work in multiple locations and need different location clauses
- You want to test a new version of your contract without changing the original
