How to create a session for a specific client

Sometimes you don’t want a public, bookable service — you just need to make a one-off full session for one client. Session lets you do that in a couple clicks.

Here’s how.

1. Go to Sessions and start a new full session

  1. From the top navigation, click Sessions.
  2. Click New.
  3. Choose New full session.

You’ll see the “New” full session screen.

2. Fill in the basic session info

  • Client name or session title – this is what your client will see during booking. You can put their name (e.g. “Samantha Jones – Newborn”) or something descriptive.
  • Session type – optional. You can pick from your existing session types if you want, but it’s not required for a one-off.
  • Session date – pick a date if you already know it. If you don’t, you can leave it for later.

Then click Create full session.

⚠️ Note: Manually creating a full session is meant for a specific client — once that client books, this session won’t be available to others. If you want something clients can self-book from your Booking Site, create a Session type (service)instead.

3. Get it booked

After the session is created, there are two things you can do. You can either send the link to your client to book the session or book it for your client. 

To send it to your client to book: 

  1. Click Share with Client
  2. Write out a quick email and send! Your client can click the booking link and do the rest. 

OR

  1. Click Book for client.

This opens the manual booking flow so you can:

  • pick the client,
  • choose the package / fee setup,
  • enter any amount already collected,
  • and decide whether to send a confirmation email right now.
  • Click Book to finish.

What is this best for?

  • You sold a session in person or via DM and just need it in Session
  • You’re moving from another CRM and need to bring an upcoming client over
  • You want to control the booking for a VIP client
