How to change the session fee on a booked session

Sometimes you need to adjust the price after a client has already booked — maybe they upgraded, maybe you gave a discount, maybe you just needed to fix the amount. You can do that right on the booking and Session will handle the invoice math for you.

2 ways to get there

1. From the booking details

  1. Open the booked session.
  2. In the Booking details section, click Change session fee (bottom of the panel).
  3. You’ll see a screen showing the current session fee and a field to enter the new amount.
  4. Enter the new fee and click Change session fee.

2. From the Actions menu

  1. Open the booked session.
  2. Click Actions (top right).
  3. Click Change session fee.
  4. Enter the new amount and save.

What Session does for you

On the change-fee screen you’ll see a note like:

“We will update any remaining balance or issue a new invoice…”

That means:

  • If the client still owes money, Session updates the remaining balance.
  • If you increased the price, Session adds the difference to what’s due.
  • Taxes (if you’re using them) are automatically included.
  • Amounts already paid stay paid.

So if the fee was $450 and you change it to $550, Session will add that extra $100 to what the client still needs to pay.
