How to publish session types to your Booking Site

When you create a new session type (your services), Session keeps it private by default. That way you can set up your packages, fees, gallery delivery, contracts, and emails without clients seeing it yet. Once it’s ready, you can make it public so it shows on your Booking Site.

Here’s how to do it.

1. Open the session type you want to show

  • Go to Manage > Session types (or wherever your services live in your account).
  • Click the session type you want to publish.

2. Scroll to Additional properties

This is the section at the bottom of the editor where you control visibility and a few other rules (require date, remaining balance due, location, etc.).

3. Turn OFF Keep private

  • You’ll see a toggle that says Keep private.
  • If it’s on, the session type is hidden from your Booking Site.
  • Toggle it off — you’ll see messaging that it’s now showing on your Booking Site.

That’s it. As soon as you turn off Keep private, that session type becomes public and clients can see and book it on your Booking Site (as long as you’ve set availability / calendar for it).

Notes and tips

  • New session types are private first: Every brand-new session type starts as private so you can set it up in peace.
  • Want a “secret” service? Just leave Keep private on and send the client the direct booking link instead.
  • Make sure you have availability: If the session type is public but there’s no availability, clients won’t be able to pick a time.
  • Customize emails first: If this session type needs special confirmation/reminder wording, do that before you make it public (it’s in the same editor right above Additional properties).
