How to offer extra services during booking (using Add-ons)

If you want clients to be able to pick extras like beauty retouching, extra edits, studio upgrade, hair and makeup, or rush delivery while they’re booking, the best way to do that in Session is with Add-ons. Add-ons show up right in the booking flow so clients can upgrade themselves without you emailing back and forth.

What add-ons are

Add-ons are optional extras your client can select during booking. When they pick one, the price of the session updates automatically. Super clean.

  • Beauty/skin retouching
  • Extra edited images
  • Hair and makeup
  • Studio or location upgrade
  • Weekend fee
  • Rush gallery delivery
  • Extra family member

How to add them

  1. Create or edit your mini session or session type.
  2. Scroll to Add-ons.
  3. Click Edit+ Create add-on.
  4. Give it a name (for example “Beauty retouching – 5 images”).
  5. Set the additional fee.
  6. Add a short description so clients know what they’re getting.
  7. Save.

Now, when clients book that session, they’ll see your extra services and can add them with a click.

Tips

  • Keep add-on names short and clear.
  • Price them so it’s an easy yes.
  • You can copy add-ons from another session so you don’t have to rebuild them.
  • If a client decides later they want the extra, you can add the add-on post booking and Session will update their invoice.
