Sometimes a client pays you in cash, Venmo, or in two installments outside of Session. You can record that payment on the booking so your mini (or full session) shows the correct balance.
Here’s how to do it:
- Open the booking
- Go to your mini session (or the session the client booked).
- Click the spot/client name to open the booking details window.
- Open the invoice
- In the booking details you will see the payment line (for example “Full payment” or “Balance due”).
- Click that line to open Invoice details.
- Mark the payment
- Click Mark as partially or fully paid.
- In the popup, choose Mark as partially paid.
- Enter the amount the client paid.
- Pick the date paid if you need it to reflect a past payment.
- Click Save.
Session will update the invoice and show the remaining balance due.
Need to mark it fully paid instead?
Follow the same steps but select Mark as paid in full.
Good to know
- This is for payments collected outside of Session.
- Your client will see the updated balance on their booking page if there is still an amount due.
