How to notify clients on your waitlist

Session collects your waitlist for you, but it doesn’t automatically email those clients. That’s on purpose — it gives you full control over who you invite first, what you say, and when you say it.

1. Open your waitlist

  1. Go to Sessions and open the mini session.
  2. Click the Waitlist row.
You’ll see everyone who joined, their email, and the date they were added.

Notify clients from inside Session

  • Click Compose email at the top.
  • Write your message (for example: “A spot just opened up — grab it here”).
  • Send.

Clients you’ve emailed using Compose email will get a small label next to their name so you know they’ve already been notified. That way you don’t message the same person twice.

Notify using your own email tool

If you want a branded or more advanced email:

  1. Click Export CSV.
  2. Upload the file to Flodesk, Mailchimp, or your email platform.
  3. Send your “a spot opened up!” message from there.

Remove someone from the waitlist

If someone books, or tells you they can’t make it, click the X to the right of their name to remove them. This keeps your list clean.

Notes

  • Session does not auto notify waitlisted clients.
  • Always include the session link in your email so they can book right away.
  • If you have multiple people on the list, tell them it’s first come, first served.
