Summary:
Session has gallery delivery built right into your booking flow. That means your client books, and then you deliver the photos in the same place. No separate apps. No extra links. For mini sessions, galleries are even grouped by that mini so it is easy to see who has been delivered to and who still needs photos.
This article focuses on the gallery part inside Packages & fees.
Where to set this up
When you create or edit a session (mini or session type):
- Scroll to Packages & fees
- Open it and choose your package style
- In each package you will see the gallery delivery settings
This is where you tell Session how many photos are included and what happens if the client wants more.
Choose your delivery mode
Session supports both:
- Final edits
You upload the final photos. Clients can download what is included and purchase more if you allow it. - Soft proofing
You upload proofs. Clients select their favorites. You then deliver finals.
Pick the one that matches how you work for that session.
Set what is included in the package
Inside the package:
- Pick the gallery deliverable type
- Set the number of photos included (for example 10 images)
- Save
This tells Session what is included so it knows when a client is trying to download more than the package allows.
Turn on upselling (highly recommended)
This is the part photographers are loving.
When upselling is on:
- Your client sees how many photos are included
- If they want more than the package includes, Session makes them pay for the extra digitals before download
- No back and forth with “Can I get 3 more?”
- Money goes straight to you
You can choose:
- Price per extra photo
Good for minis and small sessions. - Discount for entire gallery
Let them buy it all at once for a better price. Easy breezy, low key salesy. - Switch to flat fee for entire gallery
Perfect when you always want to offer a “just get it all” option.
It is your business. You decide how generous or strict you want to be.
Why this is cool for mini sessions
- All clients from that mini are grouped together
- You can see who has booked, who has a gallery, and who has paid for extras
- You can run a whole mini day and let clients buy more without you touching invoices
Tips
- Set your included photo count to match the price you want to advertise
- Turn on upselling to capture the people who always want “just a few more”
- Use flat fee for the gallery when you want a simple upgrade
