How to personalize your automated emails

Session gives you ready-to-send emails, but you can tweak the wording so it matches your voice, brand, and process 👌

1. Go to your email settings

  • Head to Manage > Emails.
  • You’ll see a list of all the Email automation messages Session can send (Booking confirmation, Payment reminder, Session reminder, etc.).

2. Open the email you want to edit

  • Click the email name (for example Booking confirmation).
  • A panel will open.

3. Edit the content

  • Click Edit email message.
  • Update the wording to match your tone, add extra info, or include links.
  • Click Save when you’re done.
  • (Optional) Click Send test email to yourself to preview.

Session will still append the booking details under your message (date/time, location, amount due, etc.), so you don’t have to type those every time.

4. Global vs. session-level emails

The emails in Manage > Emails are global — they apply to all bookings.

For some emails you can set a special version at the session level:

  • Booking confirmation
  • Session reminder
  • Session follow-up

Use that when one session type needs extra instructions (studio, minis, weddings, etc.).
